CLUTTER CHAOS!
- CLUTTER - chaos, disorder, muddle, disarray, hodgepodge.
- DE-CLUTTER - make simpler, streamline, reduce, disentangle.
- STASH - to gather, squirrel away, hoard, hide, store treasure.
- DE-STASH - to scatter or remove items from an acquired collection.
My workroom is full to overflowing with a USEFUL craft related hoard such that the room can no longer function as a 'workspace' and has become a disordered, muddled, chaotic storage room!
I am setting myself a challenge to drastically reduce my STASH and resolve my CLUTTER CHAOS!
By sorting one box, one shelf at a time, I must either use it, give it away, profit from it or recycle it.
My aim is to return the 'STORAGE ROOM' to a functional, open 'WORKSPACE' again, with controlled storage of essential 'STASH' only and clutter free working surfaces!
I have given myself an optimistic time scale of 2 years from February 2025 to Christmas 2026!
What will I CREATE, DONATE, SELL or SKIP?
I am de-stashing my book shelves of art and craft related titles collected over many years.
All have been pre-owned by myself and are generally in very good condition having been
been well cared for and cherished in enclosed bookcases in a smoke free home.
Some titles are well worn, few have pen/pencil markings on pages, some with name labels, however many are 'as new' in pristine condition and a few are duplicates, purchased twice by mistake!
A few vintage titles of historical, research interest to dress makers and sewers.
The 'CRAFT BOOK DE-STASH' is part of my 'CLUTTER CHAOS' long term plan to de-stash and de-clutter my work room and convert it from a chaotic, muddled storage room to an open work space again

I am culling my art and craft related titles, although in reality they take up little space in the workroom when compared with the FABRIC and YARN STASH!
The books, collected over many years, are generally in very good condition. They have been stored in enclosed bookcases in a smoke free home. Some titles now out of print and not easy to find copies.
A few vintage titles of historical, research interest to weavers, dress makers and embroiderers.

However many are 'as new' in pristine condition, (spines hardly showing any creases), and a few are
brand new duplicates, purchased twice by mistake!
There is only ONE of each, and when IT'S GONE, IT'S GONE!
